The Six Eyes and the King of Curses
I don't normally give my pieces names that aren't just whatever I was listening to at the time, but this one was just screaming at me.
In my defense this wasn't supposed to be Jujutsu Kaisen it was supposed to be for a really cool Shinobu print for Demon Slayer but then I saw the Jujutsu Kaisen Zero movie and here we are.
I've been super into Toile du Jouy prints since... basically since Christian Dior started using them in whatever yonder year that was idk maybe 2016? Anyway then Gucci hopped on that train and just solidified my love for it I mean what is there to not like it's so timeless. I love the detail that goes into it (unless I'm the one doing those details, then I just sob into my nearest cat) and the artistry that's on the forefront of a design.
I still don't think I've mastered the art of patterning it though, this is my third Toile du Jouy x Anime print and I still feel like there's no flow to it. Like it's not enough to really bother me but also I just know I can do better, which really just means I have to keep doing it. Thrilling.
This kind of print belongs on bedding and upholstery so it's gotta go on Society 6.
